About
Egemen Mustafa Şener
Born in Prizren on 10 June 1962, Egemen Mustafa Şener came to photography through painting and film before settling on the still image. Today the work follows two cities — Los Angeles and Zagreb — and the assignments that pull him elsewhere: editorial pages, private sittings, and quiet documentary work.
The notebook came first, the camera second. He still writes his way into a shoot before he lights it, which is why this site keeps a journal alongside the frames. Field credits include New York Fashion Week with Runway 7, Columbia Fashion Week, and talks at the Los Angeles Center of Photography — places where the craft was tested in public.
Formation
Trained in visual arts and film, then shaped on set — learning pace, restraint, and how much direction a subject actually needs.
Where he works
Based between Los Angeles and Zagreb, with travel for fashion weeks, gallery projects, and private commissions.
